This is as Favourable as one could imagine.The Subject approaches the test without prejudice, believing that it is a test of drawing ability.the test is of little service in that respect;drawing a tree is actually a very difficult exercise in draftsmanship.the mistrust encountered by many diagnostic methods ,the purpose of which cannot be understood,is not present here,when the task given in one which has not been set in advance and which in some ways sets aside conscious criticism to a great extent,a maximum of utilisable ,spontaneous graphic expression Will necessarily occur. It is true that the result is not sufficient for a full character analysis,but in association with other tests and in conjunction with handwriting interpretation it often reveals very striking facts which not only are of value because of their own content but also assist in numerous ways in the understanding of the meaning and content of other test results .The very fact that in a short time material becomes available which clarified the position and value of other results obtained in other ways (and furthermore is itself clarified by these results) seems to be of value diagnostically.
